During an interview with Gametrailers TV, president of Nintendo of America Reggie Fils-Aime spoke about the recent rumors of HD (finally) coming to the Wii. ...Unfortunately while speaking with the host Geoff Keighley, all he could do was destroy the player's hopes of it and leave us disappointed. (more...)...

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=46PfegxX1ls It really is great to see a sequel on the horizon, and with a really cool title. The original, American Mcgee's Alice, was entirely too underrated and was only taken seriously by a dedicated following. It's been a long time; and because EA has chosen American Mcgee to, yet again, work on the title, I think anyone who liked the first game will like this one. According to EA Partners, they chose him to once again work on an Alice game for his passion....
  • No Demo for Assassin’s Creed II

After seeing that the original Assassin's Creed was not going to have any sort of demo, it was easy to see that fans were going to be disappointed. With the lack of demo came predictably smaller sales than what UbiSoft could have had despite the great game in itself. It's always hard to make yourself buy a game you've never played. According to Connected Consoles, it seems that UbiSoft is pulling the same stunt once again. "Whilst playing a level of the game at today's Eurogamer Expo, a Ub...
  • In Game Cash Shops: Good or Evil?

Anyone that plays Massively Multiplayer Online Games such as Evony, Fly for Fun or Perfect World knows what the term "Cash Shop" means. It means that you're going to have to cough up some cash if you want to play the game to it's fullest potential. Many people have a strict "love-hate" relationship with these in game money makers, and walk a fine line between bliss and rage. Whether it's called a "Boutique" or just a shop, they all boil down to about the same thing: a simple system that invol...

Come on, admit it. In one way or another, we're pretty much all looking forward to the follow-up of the Ubisoft smash hit, Assassin's Creed. In Assassin's Creed II (creative titling, no?) you'll be playing as a completely new character, Ezio Auditore da Firenze, seeking revenge on a certain family enemy. As you play as Ezio, you'll find a whole new array of weapons, skills and items spread throughout the game. Developers have released a good bit about the new campaign. Assassin Creed II's campai...
  • Borderlands Selling Better Than Anticipated

    Posted October 21st, 2009 at 2:45 pm
Two days ago, only a day before it's release, video game analyst Michael Pachter accused 2K Games and Gearbox software of releasing Borderlands prematurely. He stated that sending it out in 2009, along with games like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Dragon Age: Origins, that they were only sending it "out to die" and that the other releases were going to "kick it's butt". "Kick who's butt?" Mr. Pachter couldn't have been more (predictably) wrong. Randy Pitchforth, Gearbox's studio chi...
  • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Petition Really Necessary?

    Posted October 19th, 2009 at 5:58 pm
We've seen it before, we'll see it again. After hearing the news that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 for the PC will not be supporting dedicated servers (Read up, kiddies.), many fellow gamers simply lost it. Comments were shot around the internet at a million miles per hour speaking of how this is just a complete waste of time, that Infinity Ward has sold out, and that it's just putting Xbox Live on the PC. As much as this disappointed me personally, is this really worth a petition? Located ...

Are you an experienced FPS gamer? Have you played Quake? If you haven't played Quake then you're not an experienced FPS gamer! I mean, seriously! Who at least hasn't heard of Quake? Or id Software, at the very least. Well, if you're like me and have been an id fan for a long time, then you've probably played Quake 3 or one of the distributions of it like Team Arena. I spent hours and hours playing that game long before Call of Duty 4 was even thought about. Even after I became an avid fan of ...
  • Mass Effect 2 Playstation 3 Rumors Crushed
    darthveggie by darthveggie
    Posted October 17th, 2009 at 4:57 pm
Playstation 3 fans went crazy around the globe when they heard the rumors that the January 2010 release of Mass Effect 2 will be coming to the PS3. This was excellent news considering the PS3 has so far been lacking in major game series, especially those that were on the Xbox 360 and Windows Live. "Playstation...3?" These dreams were in vain, however. As it was just recently announced by EA that, just like with the Left 4 Dead listing, that the Mass Effect 2 bundle was bogus. That's...That's...
