Remarkably, as she wanders around one day outside the village she is fou...
  • Mega Man 10 Gets Official Box Art
    by Ricardo Trejo

If the box art to Mega Man 9 didn't get you in the retro mood then Mega Man 10's will.  Oh and just curious, does Proto Man's new look remind you of anyone? I mean I could've sworn I've seen someone before with long blonde hair and a green saber. No? Oh well. I still find it weird that over 20 years after the original MM's release we're sitting here talking about the 10th installment in the Classic series. Ahh, so nostalgic......
  • Luigi’s Mansion 2 in the Works?
    by Ricardo Trejo
    Posted January 21st, 2010 at 5:58 am
I don't know why there was such animosity toward Luigi in his haunted mansion outing, but to me it was an experience that I will cherish forever. Yeah, I know that sounds cheesy, but it's true. I still remember being the first in line after waiting hours and hours at a local retailer to pick my new Nintendo Gamecube at the strike of midnight. The game of choice was none other than Luigi's Mansion, which I didn't even get to play until the next afternoon since once I got home my best friend had t...
  • PS3 Controller first “Wand”, then “Gem”, now Being Called the Arc?
    by Ricardo Trejo
    Posted January 19th, 2010 at 9:01 pm
Last year's E3 was filled from top to bottom with motion controls. It was a bit understandable that after the Wii's continuous and ongoing success its competitors would want to get in on it too. Microsoft stunned the crowd with its camera based Project Natal, and Sony... well, they used both technologies: a camera and a controller. I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say it really didn't wow anyone. From then on Sony's unnamed apparatus became known as the Wand. After that it then became know...
  • Reggie Shrugs Shoulders as New Super Mario Bros. Passes PS3 Modern Warfare 2
    by Ricardo Trejo
    Posted January 16th, 2010 at 3:21 am
Back in November Reggie Fils-Aime, President of Nintendo of America, stated that New Super Mario Bros Wii would outsell one console version of Modern Warfare 2 over the course of three months. The challenge ends at the end of the January, but we're only 2 weeks into the new year and already NSBW has dominated over Modern Warfare's PS3 sales. Mario made Nintendo a whopping 4.21 million, whereas MW2 for PS2 stands at  2.95 million - both numbers are impressive, but they both fall short of the 36...
  • Entire MegaMan Zero Series to be Re-released on a Single DS Cartridge
    by Ricardo Trejo
    Posted January 15th, 2010 at 4:33 am
I was a big fan of the Zero series, so it's pretty sweet to hear that all 4 games in the timeline will be fit into a single DS cartridge and re-released. Capcom posted some info on it just moments ago and we're already drooling at the upcoming "Rockman Zero Collection" due out in Japan April 22nd. The game is even priced less than $50 American dollars (after exchange). No word on if it'll be released outside the land of the rising sun, but with everything Capcom's been doing recently for thei...
  • Sony Knows NA Heavy Rain Box Art Sucks – Gives your Options
    by Ricardo Trejo
    Posted January 13th, 2010 at 11:32 pm
Earlier, we posted up the newly unveiled Heavy Rain North American box art, which we pointed out wasn't as classy as the European one. So to quell the fans' unanimous rage Sony has notified gamers everywhere that there's going to be an option of sorts to solve this dilemma. A printable version of the European art will be hosted by Sony at the time of the game's release. "We’ll be doing that for those that would prefer the UK artwork. Keep an eye out on the blog around launch." -Christian C...
  • Dead Space 2 & Crysis 2 Due to Release by March 2011
    by Ricardo Trejo
    Posted January 12th, 2010 at 7:42 pm
EA's head honcho John Riccitiello went on the record earlier today to say that both, Dead Space 2 and Crysis 2, should be in full swing by March of 2011, right in time for the end of the fiscal year. In laymen's terms, they'll each be out by March of next year, and be given a window of time to fit in late sales. I'm going to estimate an October and a December launch respectfully for DS2 and C2. Also, it's confirmed that Crysis 2 WILL be heading to home consoles along with the almost certainly...
  • Metal Gear Film Put on Hold… for now
    by Ricardo Trejo
    Posted January 12th, 2010 at 12:25 am
Out of all the plans we've seen come and go to adapt a major video game into a successful motion picture, it always  appeared as if the Metal Gear film was going to be a shoe in for that sorta thing. Well, as of today you can now scratch Solid Snake off the list of upcoming movies,  and put him in the hiatus category. According to Mike De Luca, producer for the anticipated Metal Gear movie, the project has been put on hold due to differences between both parties (Kojima and Sony) on which ...
  • NA Heavy Rain gets Box Art
    by Ricardo Trejo
    Posted January 11th, 2010 at 11:23 pm
Earlier today Amazon was kind enough to put up the official box art for the North American version of Heavy Rain, which  I got a chance to play  at a private party this past weekend during CES. Though the cover isn't bad,  per se, it's got a lot going on. Why couldn't we have just gotten the European version's simplistic look? Why do Americans always get the short stick when it comes to this kind of thing? Are we really that drawn to an action oriented look compared to symbolism a...
