Rise Of Prussia Review
Rise Of Prussia is the latest historical RTS to hit the PC. Allowing you to recreate famous campaigns from the European Seven Years' War, which was fought between 1756-1763. The game gives you ten Scenarios to play through, a huge map divided into over 1,000 regions and a great in depth command system. One hundred new leaders appear with the ability to use 300 units, so does this RTS manage to make you a part of history, or does it fall short?
In all there are ten campaigns to sink your teeth...

For all you PC gamers lucky enough to own DirectX 11 cards, you’ll be happy to know that the latest FPS by THQ in the form of Metro 2033 will support DirectX 11. An official statement says:
“Our engineers have been working closely with 4A Games to ensure that Metro 2033 takes full advantage of some of the spectacular effects made possible with the next generation of DX11 hardware,” said Tony Tamasi, Senior Vice President of Content and Technology at NVIDIA. “The 4A Engine is one of the ...
Dragon Age 2 Coming Next Year

The best RPG of last year, Dragon Age: Origins is getting a sequel next year, according to Talk Xbox. The game, which received critical acclaim last year is set to be released no later than March 31st 2011. Is this exciting news? For me it is anyway, because I (like nearly everyone) really enjoyed the first and am looking forward to the second game.
Also, they have said to have confirmed another new Need for Speed and a new game from Epic. Interesting stuff from EA indeed....
Psychonauts For $2
This is simply too good an offer to pass up - Double Fine, the development studio headed up by Tim Schafer, is offering up its first game on Steam for the measly sum of $2/£1. The game is critically acclaimed, and still one of the best examples of working humour in video games. The official Steam news post is below:
For years, the Psychonauts have deployed their psychically-armed operatives all over the world, but this time trouble is brewing in their own backyard. Someone is abducting student...
Half-Life 2: Episode 3? Not in 2010!
It's news that makes even the strongest of Valve fanboys cry. After the release of Left 4 Dead 2, many believed that Valve would then shift their focus to the Half-Life 2 side of things, and finish this story off. But, it appears not. If this month's Game Informer was correct, then we won't be seeing any more adventures of Gordon Freeman this year.
Even after the press of deaf characters and exploding kittens, it may not be coming this year. Hopefully this isn't true, if not, Valve better hav...
Still Hope For Beyond Good & Evil Sequel
Ubisoft had been despairingly quiet on the topic of the sequel to the fondly-remembered Beyond Good & Evil. However, they have finally shed some light on the future for the development in an interview with French website Gamekult. While the interview was focused on Ubisoft in a broader sense, Geoffroy Sardin (the CEO of Ubisoft France) did reveal that both Beyond Good & Evil 2 and the intriguing I Am Alive are not laying dormant as was generally assumed, but rather "they are both sti...
Beaming Up: A Brief STO Preview
One of my personal life goals was to be in a beta for a game. Yes, I shoot high on my goals. Among the others is teaching myself to play the lute/ocarina/fiddle to help my D&D characterizations when I play a bard, and writing game reviews for a website. So when I was asked to play the Star Trek Online beta for a bit, I was thrilled. I love Star Trek (owing this to a long term of unemployment combined with Star Trek marathons on daytime TV) and I love MMOs. The problem with the current MMO la...
Dead Space 2 & Crysis 2 Due to Release by March 2011
EA's head honcho John Riccitiello went on the record earlier today to say that both, Dead Space 2 and Crysis 2, should be in full swing by March of 2011, right in time for the end of the fiscal year. In laymen's terms, they'll each be out by March of next year, and be given a window of time to fit in late sales. I'm going to estimate an October and a December launch respectfully for DS2 and C2.
Also, it's confirmed that Crysis 2 WILL be heading to home consoles along with the almost certainly...

Pre-order the game through Gamestop.

Be a lifetime subscriber to City of Champions.

STO Ship Names Announced
Well, the votes are in, and I assume that the thousands of filters that Cryptic Entertainment put in have worked. The new names for the ship classes in STO are: Emissary, Dervish, and Destiny. They're good names that fit well into the mythos of the game. This is another time to point out Cryptic Studios' very respectful fan service that is throughout this project. Hopefully it shows in the game, which is getting a pretty excited following; perhaps this type of customer input is also integrated i...
