I was a big fan of the Zero series, so it's pretty sweet to hear that all 4 games in the timeline will be fit into a single DS cartridge and re-released. Capcom posted some info on it just moments ago and we're already drooling at the upcoming "Rockman Zero Collection" due out in Japan April 22nd. The game is even priced less than $50 American dollars (after exchange). No word on if it'll be released outside the land of the rising sun, but with everything Capcom's been doing recently for thei...

You probably don't know Tim Kitzrow. He's not a household name, except maybe in his own.  He sounds like a guy who takes out the trash, mows the lawn, and all right, fine, he'll takes the dog for her night walk because Jimmy forgot to, but he's not happy about it.  He sounds like "Tim Kitzrow, you know, from accounting?" Zelda Reorchestrated, a reimagining of every song from Zelda: The Ocarina Of Time, has reached completion after an incredible amount of time and effort: Six years ago, an eager 14 year old had the idea of remaking all of the songs from the hit video game series "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time" to sound like they were being played by live musicians. He took his idea, and three demo songs to a few web forums and a few music professionals. The feedback was clear: the idea was original, but q...
  • Retro Review: Contra on NES
    by Peachy

I'm sure most of us have played Contra at some point and probably the underlying image in everyone's heads is "That's first level!!??" Yes that's right Contra is hard! You get 2 lives to begin with, 5 continues and WOW do you need them. You can collect lives as you progress (do not miss one or you wont get far) but its still far from easy. Ok lets jump straight to level design: The thing about Contra is its not just a side scrolling shooter, there are levels where it puts you in a pseudo...
