Speculation that the PS3 may be coming the next gen console of choice may be true, if recent figures released are correct. Sony claim they sold a whopping 6.5 million PS3 units within three months. The three month period ended on December 31st and this is quite a big number. Compared to last year, it is an improvement of 2 million, because sales of PS3s during the same period in 2008 was 4.5 million.
Figures for the Wii and 360 haven’t been released yet, but one thing is for sure: Sony are had a green Christmas.
