It was certain to happen sooner or later (preferably sooner) but the Javelin glitch in Modern Warfare 2 has been finally patched on Xbox Live. The next upcoming patch, 1.06, will address Care Package glitching as well as players getting into areas where they shouldn't be able to go....

Many people have been griping about the unfair leaderboard advantages for the people who got their hands on an early, leaked copy of the game. Robert Bowling announced earlier on Twitter that a leaderboard reset is coming shortly to alleviate this issue. Edit 2 - 8:11PM - Kotaku attempted to contact Robert Bowling for an "official" statement on the streak. Bowling states: "Can't confirm nor deny any leaks for #MW2. Official stance is to just wait and discover the awesome yourself on November 10th."

In a move that may be used to quell some of the uproar about the lack of dedicated servers around the net, Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling announced that in certain playlists in Modern Warfare 2 a third person view will be available.

There has been much stir about a few of the features that will be missing from Modern Warfare 2 - enough people were upset enough to even start and sign a petition that has reached 142,000 signatures (and growing). Well, it seems like the worst is yet to come. The big question around the internet is "Will my PC be able to run Modern Warfare 2?". Ok, that might not be entirely true, but there is a large subsection of people wondering, if not outright saying that. Infinity Ward has been rather tight lipped about the subject but it appears that Gamestop has let the cat out of the bag (presumably along with a M4 Carbine). This is what the back of the box reads for system specs:

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Petition Really Necessary?
We've seen it before, we'll see it again. After hearing the news that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 for the PC will not be supporting dedicated servers (Read up, kiddies.), many fellow gamers simply lost it. Comments were shot around the internet at a million miles per hour speaking of how this is just a complete waste of time, that Infinity Ward has sold out, and that it's just putting Xbox Live on the PC. As much as this disappointed me personally, is this really worth a petition?

Although some of us got the good news that the PC version of the popular franchise would not be delayed, Infinity Ward made it hurt once again by stating that there would not be any support for dedicated servers in the game. The game will use Infinity Wards server technology, "IWNet", which doesn't allow users to host their own servers.
