The good chaps over at TheSixthAxis are reporting what trophies we will be slashing our way through in God of War III. So we're entering the third game of the series, and it's looking really nice. The game, touting the explosive return of Kratos, is set for release next month, and since we love trophies, we thought it only fair to share with our readers what they are (well that's obvious): Bronze Mr. Hand Discover the secret ‘Hades Arm’ room Hit Man Perform a 1000-hit co...
  • Heavy Rain Review

Heavy Rain is Quantic Dreams stab at a new genre in video gaming, the “Interactive Drama”. It’s a murder mystery with plenty of twists to capture the player, a sublime cast of characters, and a whole cinematic approach to everything. With more mature themes and moral choices to make in a normal everyday world where normal things happen. Asking the question “How far would you go to save someone you love.” But does it work? Oh hell yeah! The story follows four main characters, develop...
  • Sony Shift 6.5 Million PS3s
    by Robert
    Posted February 4th, 2010 at 10:02 am
Speculation that the PS3 may be coming the next gen console of choice may be true, if recent figures released are correct. Sony claim they sold a whopping 6.5 million PS3 units within three months. The three month period ended on December 31st and this is quite a big number. Compared to last year, it is an improvement of 2 million, because sales of PS3s during the same period in 2008 was 4.5 million. Figures for the Wii and 360 haven’t been released yet, but one thing is for sure: Sony are ...

    by Robert

A few weeks ago Sony and Polyphony Digital announced yet another delay to the fifth installment of their driving sim and it was the latest one to be added to their huge list of delays on the game. Well Sony are hoping for a Fall 2010 release according to PSX Extreme. If this is true, then the game will have been in development nearly four years, which is a shocking amount of time for a racer. The screenshots and videos are mightily impressive but can they keep us hooked for yet another year? ...
  • MAG: One Week Later
    by Robert
    Posted February 2nd, 2010 at 11:09 am
Well it’s been seven days since we posted our MAG review. Not only were we the target for criticism but we were also accused of reviewing the beta. That, my friend, is a lie. The review was posted the day after the servers launched and the whole of the previous day, even into the early hours of the morning were dedicated to MAG. I believe I stopped playing at 2:30AM, and commenced playing at 11AM the day after release day, which continued until about 3PM when I sat down, weighed up my experien...
  • Mega Man 10 Gets Official Box Art
    by Ricardo Trejo

If the box art to Mega Man 9 didn't get you in the retro mood then Mega Man 10's will.  Oh and just curious, does Proto Man's new look remind you of anyone? I mean I could've sworn I've seen someone before with long blonde hair and a green saber. No? Oh well. I still find it weird that over 20 years after the original MM's release we're sitting here talking about the 10th installment in the Classic series. Ahh, so nostalgic......
  • Massive Action Game Review

Why is business so intense? Why do companies in industries such as the videogame industry have to flaunt their product and plaster all the positives across their promotional interface to make more sales? This is what Sony and Zipper have done with their console MMO. They’ve taken the absolute best situation, squeezed out all of the positives from this situation and left a mashed up piece of shrivelled matter behind which acts as the negatives. Never has a piece of matter such as this been so i...

George Hotz, the iPhone hacker who was the first person to jailbreak an iPhone has announced that he as hacked the PS3. He has been posting on his blog, publishing this progress for the past five weeks, until a post appeared called "Hi Hypervisor, I'm Geohot" who goes on to explain how he has hacked into the PS3. • PS3 Controller first “Wand”, then “Gem”, now Being Called the Arc?
    by Ricardo Trejo
    Posted January 19th, 2010 at 9:01 pm
Last year's E3 was filled from top to bottom with motion controls. It was a bit understandable that after the Wii's continuous and ongoing success its competitors would want to get in on it too. Microsoft stunned the crowd with its camera based Project Natal, and Sony... well, they used both technologies: a camera and a controller. I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say it really didn't wow anyone. From then on Sony's unnamed apparatus became known as the Wand. After that it then became know...
  • Reggie Shrugs Shoulders as New Super Mario Bros. Passes PS3 Modern Warfare 2
    by Ricardo Trejo
    Posted January 16th, 2010 at 3:21 am
Back in November Reggie Fils-Aime, President of Nintendo of America, stated that New Super Mario Bros Wii would outsell one console version of Modern Warfare 2 over the course of three months. The challenge ends at the end of the January, but we're only 2 weeks into the new year and already NSBW has dominated over Modern Warfare's PS3 sales. Mario made Nintendo a whopping 4.21 million, whereas MW2 for PS2 stands at  2.95 million - both numbers are impressive, but they both fall short of the 36...
